What a View

I have stood on California soil several times in the past, but never north of the Los Angeles county line. So, when presented with the opportunity to go to San Francisco for work, Jeanine and I quickly packed our bags for a little getaway.

We stayed in the marina district near the Palace of Fine Art, where I soaked up emerging internet technologies and design trends at the Future of Web Apps Summit. I met some great people at the conference while Jeanine kept busy exploring the city by foot. Thankfully, by the time I was ready to join her, she had already mastered San Francisco's public transportation system.

We found it hard not to fall in love with this diverse city. It's people were extremely friendly and the food was delicious. The only thing we didn't like about San Francisco was the unreliable weather forecasts. Despite predictions of rain and overcast skies, it was sunny and 70 for the entire length of our visit. I guess there are worse things to complain about.
